Ibec views on EPA Draft Better Regulation Policy and Draft Compliance & Enforcement Policy
In this submission, Ibec members set out their views on the Irish EPA's new Draft Better Regulation Policy and revised Draft Compliance & Enforcement Policy. These documents have the potential to dramatically improve how the Agency conducts itself as a regulator and how it engages with licensees as well as the general public with respect to environmental law compliance and enforcement. Ibec is generally grateful to see EPA take such important steps and encourages the Agency to consider a number of finer policy points that will help ensure these polices are effective yet balanced in their approach to regulating licensed companies while protecting the environment.
