Ibec analysis: Notification of Article 50 and the EU's response

On 29 March 2017, a letter signed by Prime Minister Theresa May was hand delivered to European Council President Donald Tusk, formally communicating the UK's intention to invoke the result of last year's referendum and withdraw from the European Union under Article 50. In helping our members and stakeholders to understand the implications, Ibec has prepared a detailed analysis paper examining the key points of the UK Government's position and that of the EU's initial response in advance of formal negotiating guidelines being agreed by the European Council in the coming weeks.

As always, please contact us for a further discussion of any element of our analysis.
