Economics and Taxation Committee

The Economics and Taxation Policy Committee is focused on ensuring a policy environment which supports the competitiveness of Irish business. It is the vehicle through which members’ economic and taxation interests are represented nationally and at EU level. The committee includes representatives from all key sectors of the Irish economy.

In 2016 the committee examined and tracked a number of issues of crucial importance for Irish business. These include:
· Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB)
· Base Erosion Profit Shifting (BEPS)
· Issues relating to Ireland as an investment location
· Retraining and upskilling issues
· Productivity and innovation
· Income tax
· Tax treatment of stock options
