HR Update Survey 2013 Autumn
The Autumn 2013 HR update survey collected responses from 432 senior HR contacts in Ibec member companies on trends in pay, employment and resourcing, cost containment and innovation. Future surveys will continue to capture pay and reward trends and will address issues critical issues relating to HR policy and practice.
The profile of respondents to this survey is similar to previous HR update surveys. Around a third of respondent companies employed fewer than 50 employees, while just over a quarter (27%) employed over 250 employees. Around one in seven respondents were engaged in the high-tech manufacturing sector which includes the manufacture of chemicals, electronics or medical devices. In total, just over one third of respondents were engaged in the manufacturing sector. Just over one in six respondents were engaged in distribution, while just over half the respondents (51%) were engaged in some form of service sector activity.
