CCTV and disciplinary proceedings: the view of the EAT and the higher courts

23/08/2010 - Increasingly businesses are employing technology, such as CCTV, as a method of providing security for company property. However, while CCTV is often originally employed for the surveillance and protection of property, situations can arise where an employer may wish to use CCTV footage as evidence against an employee during disciplinary proceedings.
