Can a non-EEA spouse/civil partner of an EEA national work in Ireland?

Yes, citizens of the European Economic Area, and his/her non-EEA spouse, recognised partner or dependant unmarried children under the age of 18, are generally entitled to work in Ireland without an employment permit. The spouse/civil partner or dependant children must formally register their status with the Irish immigration authorities, who will then issue the relevant stamp (Stamp 4) on the person's passport to confirm their immigration status.
