Disability information service

The Employers helpline and disability information service is a 3 year pilot project funded by the Irish government as part of the comprehensive employment strategy for people with disabilities managed by a consortium of employer organisations - Chambers Ireland, Ibec and ISME.

The purpose is to provide employers with an expert peer source of advice and information on employing and retaining staff with disabilities and to promote increased employment of people with disabilities. The service will provide a dedicated phone helpline, website and network for employers to share experiences and best practice.

This support offers advice and information on employer responsibilities and accessibility; reasonable accommodation; health and safety; acquired disability; inclusive management and recruitment as well as details on the various supports and funding available to employers.
